The ideal system for installing a maintenance-friendly extensive green roof with sedum, herbs and grasses. Suitable for roofs with limited fall due to the ND 5+1 Drainage System as the core of the composition.
We supply complete extensive green roof systems, including the vegetation. We grow the vegetation ourselves at our sedum nursery and it is of excellent quality. The growing-medium layer of this standard composition consists only of substrate. The extensive substrate is tailored to the needs of the sedum vegetation. The substrate height is determined by the chosen type of vegetation: sedum blankets, plug plants or cuttings (see table below).

The core of this extensive green roof with a roof construction with insufficient slope is formed by the ND 5+1 Drainage System on a roll. This multifunctional CE-marked drainage system with high compressive strength protects vegetation against water build-up and at the same time stores water in the built-in water reservoir (5.8 l/m²) for dry periods. The high dimple of this drainage system ensures that on roofs with insufficient fall, the waterproofing membrane is protected against the build-up of water pressure and mechanical loads.

If the waterproofing membrane is not root-resistant, we recommend adding the ND WSB-50 Root Barrier.
