Intensive | inverted roof

The ideal system for installing an intensive green roof with grass, shurbs and trees. Suitable for roofs with an inverted roof construction.

All systems for extensive green roofs, with the exception of steep (pitched) roofs, is also applicable for an inverted roof construction. With an inverted roof, the insulation is above the waterproofing membrane. The other layers of the structures remain the same.

As with the other extensive applications, we show the possibilities here in terms of substrate height and type of vegetation. The insulation values are not included (see table below).

Suitable for standard and inverted roof constructions

The core of this extensive green roof is formed by the ND 4+1h Drainage System on a roll. The core of this intensive green roof is formed by the ND 4+1h Drainage System on a roll. All ND +1 Drainage Systems (ND 4+1, ND 4+1h and ND 5+1) can be used with both standard roof constructions and inverted roof constructions. They are all equipped with a perforated core and separating geotextile (not a slip film) so that the water vapor from the XPS insulation can evaporate freely with an inverted roof. The suitability of the thermal insulation must be demonstrated by the insulation supplier.

If the waterproofing membrane is not root-resistant, we recommend adding the ND WSB-80 Root Barrier.
